INGRID JAYNEAN JOHNSON
Mrs. Ingrid Jaynean Johnson is an original resident of Mobile Alabama. She is the daughter of Alonzo and Dorothy Mosley. She has two sisters, Monica Mosley and Andrea (Angie) Diamond. She started singing in the Mount Hebron Baptist church choir at the age of 7. Ingrid and her friends held their own talent shows in elementary school. Ingrid has song in the choir throughout her school years at Scarborough Junior High and while at Vigor High School in the advanced choir.
Ingrid attended Bishop State Community College under a Music scholarship where she received an Associate Degree in Voice/Music Theory. During college Ingrid sung “jingles” on local television commercials and was also a Star Search contestant were she placed 2nd in the state of Alabama.
Ingrid continued to sing at various churches and events throughout high school and college. She sang with a popular local bands in Mobile and surrounding areas, performed in the Mobile Opera Gill. She was a dedicated member of the High Point Missionary Baptist Church where she sung in the church choir and was a soloist for weddings, home-goings, and special events until she got married and moved to Houston Texas.
Ingrid continued to sing and perform in Houston where she won several gospel talent shows including American Gospel Idol in 2019. She started acting and singing with AWJ Production and was awarded Vocalist of the Year in 2017. She was a member of the Houston Showcase and Kim Burrell’s Many Nation choirs, and God’s Vision prison ministry group during 2016 to present performing at various charity events throughout the Houston area.
She is currently married to Donald Johnson. Together they have five children; Chantell, Donnie, Shauna, Dorian and Kirsten. They also have six grand children; Niyah, Julian, Neveah, DeShaun, Chloe, and Jacobe. She and her husband are dedicated members of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. William King III. Where she is one of the worship leaders and he is a musician in the choir.
